University of Southern Indiana Visitor's Guide

The University of Southern Indiana is a one of a kind college. It is known as one of the nicest colleges in Indiana. The University of Southern Indiana is located in Evansville, IN. Evansville is a city with many things to do. USI is a really clean campus. The building are very nice and the equipment in it is also up to date. The newest building to be added on to the number of buildings on campus is the Rice Library. The library is the latest and greatest. The library has Computers, Books, and anything else you would need to do research.

The dorms on campus are also very nice. They are some of the biggest dorms in Indiana. Incoming freshmen are suggested to live in a dorm their first year. The dorms also have laundry rooms. There are also computer labs on each floor, that students can use to do schoolwork on.

The University Center is the building in which students get food and school supplies. The UC has four places from which you can get food. The UC has a Burger King, Sub Connection, and a Pizza place. The UC also has seating where you can dine-in. If you want you can also get your food to go.

The Recreation Center is the best building on the campus. If you enjoy sports, you will love this building. This building is located right next to the Newman Dorms. On the top floor there is a running track. On the main floor there is the front desk, a room for workout classes, and a pool table. The lower level presents two full court basketball courts. Both have goals with breakaway rims. The floor is hardwood. Next, you have the weightliftng area. This has all the machines you could imagine. Any muscle you want to work on, the recreation center has a weight-machine for you. The recreation center also has a ping-pong table on the lower level.

The Physical Activities Center or PAC is where the USI mens basketball team plays. It is right nixt to the recreation center. It has three full court basketball courts. It also has a pool. The pool also has a diving board. The recreational basketball league called "Rim Rockers" is held in the PAC.

My Music
I love music. There are hardly any types of music that I do not like. Country is defiantly the best type of music. I like country because that is what I have grown up around. I live in the middle of a cornfield so country stations are the only ones that come in. I like countrybecause it relates to me. Country songs are almost all about real life experiences.
I love Kenny Chesney. He is a great country singer. He has many songs that I like, but on sticks out. His new song “Don’t Blink” is my favorite song right now. I like this song so much for one reason. It is such a true song. It talks about how fast life really goes. The words are so true throughout the whole song. Kenny Chesney is great.
My second favorite song is probably “Songs about Rain”, by Gary Allen. Gary Allen is a great artist with many great songs. I really like this song because it is about him being lonely. The girl he always liked just got married. He never thought it would affect him to see her get married to someone else. I also like the beat of the song.
My third favorite song would have to be “If Your Reading This”, by Tim McGraw. Tim McGraw is a classic country singer. I really like this song though. It is about soldiers off at war. It is a very sad, but true song. I almost cried the first time I heard the song. I don’t know anyone overseas right now because of the war, but it is still hard to listen too.
My fourth favorite song is “Don’t Laugh at Me”, by Mark Wills. This song is also very true. It is about how people make fun of one another. It is also a very sad, but good song. If listening to this song did not make you want to make fun of others you are crazy.
My fifth favorite song would be “Guys like Me”, by Eric Church. This song seems like it is meant for me and all my friends. It is about guys that do what they want. It is a song that will always be remembered by all the guys that like country music. This song is by far the best Eric Church has ever produced.
My sixth favorite song would be “Livin’ our Love Song”, by Jason Michael Carroll. This song is all about love. It’s about a backwoods boy and a fairytale princess. In the song he sings about how no one else thought the relationship would work out. It is by far one of the greatest country love songs.
My seventh favorite song is “A Country Boy Can Survive”, by Hank Williams Jr. Hank Williams Jr. is one of the most recognizable country singers. This song is all about country boys. It is a song about how country boys know what to do to survive. It talks about fishing. It also talks about hunting. It is one of the greatest songs.
My eight favorite song is “Take Me There”, by Rascal Flatts. It is also a song about love. In the music video a guy sees this girl he thinks is really hot. He ends up talking to her. They end up getting together at this party up on the cliffs. The song is about how the guy wants to know everything about the girl, because he really likes her.

Michael Jordan At USI

Hey my name is Michael Jordan. I am a freshman at the University of Southern Indiana. I love college. Classes are kind of hard, but the rest is good. I like how I get to hang out with my friends all the time. I also like that you can get help on your schoolwork almost all of the time. People in the dorms are also freshmen so u can get help from them. If you need real help then you can get tutors and stuff. I also love the recreation center. The Recreation Center is really nice. They have a huge weight room. They also have two full court basketball courts. I also like the running track that they have on the top floor. I spend a lot of my free time in the recreation center. I have played countless numbers of pick up basketball games. I have lifted about twelve times. They have very nice equipment. I also love the ping-pong table they have on the lower level. My friends and I have played table tennis about five times since we have been here. I am officially the worst ping-pong player on the campus. I also like the University Center. The Burger King is great. I eat there almost every night. I like the double stacker. It is buy far the best item they have there. I also like the pizza place. I like the pepperoni pizza ant the mozzarella sticks. Sub Connection is a different story though. I have ate at Sub Connections once and it was a mistake. I had the nastiest sub ever. I could have mad a better sub by myself. I also like the dorms. I live in a dorm with one of my best friends. The best thing about the dorms is that there are so many people. It is really easy to meet new people because we all live together. I have met a lot of new people. Some people I have met have become my good friends. I am also in a five on five basketball league. Our team has good players on it, but we don’t play well together. I have a lot of fun though. We have lost many games we should have won, but it has still been fun. We have playoffs or something like that this week. I am ready to play in the playoffs. I think out team gets a little better every week, so hopefully we can mesh together and give it a shot to win. I also like the city of Evansville. There are many great restaurants. My friends and I love to go out to eat. I really like the Buffalo Wild Wings. It is only a few minutes away from the dorm so that is a good thing. I also like Penn Station. They have sub-sandwiches that are really good. I love food. I thought it would be hard living three hours away from home. The transition has been a lot easier than I expected it too be. Overall, I really like the University of Southern Indiana and I am happy to be here.
